Standing Together at Stamford Bridge Stadium

Year 8 students at SMBS were selected to participate in the Standing Together project led by Chelsea Football Club’s Diversity and Education Team.

The Standing Together project is part of the Mayor of London's programme to fight against racism, hate, intolerance and extremism. Students got to visit Stamford Bridge - Cheslea FC's iconic stadium. During their day at the stadium, they explored different campaigns surrounding discrimination.

In their in-school workshops over the course of this year, the pupils will create campaigns that focus on different types of discrimination. The winning team will launch their programme in school.

Together our Year 8 pupils will celebrate the diversity of our school community and promote positive values and community cohesion, looking at role models both inside and outside of the sporting world.
