Residential Trip Adventures

Our Key Stage 4 students rounded off the term with their residential to PGL Marchants Hill where they took part in a wide range of exciting and challenging activities, including climbing, abseiling, trapeze, giant swing, problem-solving tasks, and Ambush (a giant game of hide and seek in the woods after dark!)
For some of our less confident students, the trip had a particularly powerful impact on their resilience. We saw students experience success in activities that required physical skills they had never used before, such as abseiling and climbing. Some who would usually shy away from a challenge surprised themselves by being the first to volunteer and have a go!
The trip also gave students many opportunities to develop their teamwork skills. During both the physical and problem-solving activities, students encouraged one another to persevere, shared ideas about how to overcome difficult challenges, and recognised the importance of working together in order to succeed.
We are so proud of our students for giving everything a go and demonstrating our school values on the trip
