Celebrating Creativity Through Art Bytes 2026

Students from The St Marylebone CE Bridge School have recently taken part in the national Art Bytes 2026 competition, showcasing an exciting range of expressive and imaginative artwork alongside schools from across the country.

Art Bytes is a national art initiative that gives young people the opportunity to exhibit their artwork in a professional online gallery, helping students experience what it feels like to have their creativity recognised beyond the classroom.

This year’s submissions demonstrated creativity, individuality and outstanding commitment to the artistic process. Students explored mixed media, sculpture, drawing and mask-making techniques, experimenting confidently with materials including clay, paint, marker pens and mixed media to create highly personal and visually striking outcomes.

We are especially proud to celebrate our school winners:

1st Place – Noah, The Screams
A dramatic mixed-media artwork combining clay, paint and marker pens inspired by expressive portraiture and atmosphere.

2nd Place – Dorothy, SHHH… The Screams
An imaginative and energetic piece exploring emotion, colour and sculptural form.

3rd Place – Abigail, The Mask
A highly detailed mixed-media mask showing excellent craftsmanship, patience and visual impact.

Additional featured entries included:

  • Musa – MM

  • Kasim – The Hand

As part of the Art Bytes programme, student work is displayed in a national online gallery and may also be selected for regional celebration exhibitions taking place in June 2026.

We are also delighted that students will be attending the Art Bytes London Regional Celebration Event 2026 at St Martin-in-the-Fields and the National Gallery in London this June. The event celebrates young artists from across the region and gives students the opportunity to experience their work being recognised as part of a wider national arts community.

The competition has provided students with a valuable opportunity to develop confidence, independence and pride in their creative work while sharing their ideas with a wider audience.

Congratulations to every student who took part and represented the school so brilliantly through their creativity and imagination. To view the students' entries click here
