Year 9 Explore the Wonders of Science at New Scientist Live!

Our Year 9 students recently enjoyed an exciting trip to New Scientist Live at ExCeL London, where they had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of science and technology through a fantastic range of interactive exhibits and hands-on experiences.
From the thrills of virtual reality rollercoasters to practising life-saving CPR skills on medical dummies and testing their reflexes in reaction-time challenges, students enthusiastically threw themselves into everything on offer.
The students certainly enjoyed the experience, with some sharing their favourite moments:
"The VR rollercoaster was insane! It felt so real, and learning about how it works with VR made it even cooler.”
"I loved doing CPR on the practice dummies. It was actually quite hard to keep going for one whole minute!”
"Testing our reaction times was super competitive and fun!”
The visit was a brilliant opportunity to discover how science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) connect to our everyday lives and the exciting range of careers they can lead to. It was wonderful to see our students so curious, engaged and eager to try new things.
