Gold boxes for the Wallace Collection
Year 7 have been making Gold boxes that have secret compartments in them to keep a picture inside.
These boxes are featured in the Wallace collection. The students are exploring the kind of secrets that are in the paintings they are featured in.
Students also did self-portraits with oil pastels, miniaturised them with Laughing Cavalier drawings, and added them as inserts into their boxes, inspired by the original gold box.
