Year 7 pupil, Genesis has made it through to the final of Future Sounds 2024 - a competition for young musicians in Hammersmith & Fulham; Kensington & Chelsea; and Westminster.
We are excited to be launching our own Independence Award Scheme this year which pupils will be working towards in Year 9, 10 and 11.
The much anticipated SMBS Staff Pancake Race took place on Thursday and saw a new champion crowned for 2024.
This term the Healthy Living Faculty has been leading events and they have offered an after school cooking club.
Year 7 pupils are venturing into outdoor learning every Friday afternoon this term.
SMBS STEM Club pupils enjoyed a trip to the BBC Earth Experience last week.
As part of Enterprise Week, Year 7 and 8 pupils visited the Shaftesbury Theatre last week for a backstage tour.
SMBS pupils visited the cinema again this year as part of the Into Film Festival. The Into Film Festival is a free, annual, nationwide celebration of film & education for 5-19 year olds.
SMBS staff and pupils took to the ice again for some festive fun.
Last week a group of SMBS pupils competed in the North London Special Schools 25m Swimming Gala at the London Aquatics Centre in Stratford and returned to school champions!
This term in Humanities, Year 7s were introduced to the Science of Paleontology
Due to the planned TfL Tube and DLR strikes next week, pupils will be starting school at 9.30am from Mon 8 Sept up to and including Fri 12 Sept. If there are any changes to these arrangements, we will contact parents/carers.
