A theatrical extravaganza

Pupils across the school have experienced a fantastic variety of theatre over the course of this term.

Pupils in all year groups had the opportunity to experience the theatre this term. Key Stage 3 pupils to see the pantomime, Aladdin at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith. Fantastic fun was had and lots of audience participation. The trip also enriched the year 7's study of Commedia dell'arte in drama.

Some pupils went to see westend music, Mrs Doubtfire at The Shaftesbury Theatre. The pupils enjoyed the show hugely and some who had visited the theatre as part of Enterprise Week were thrilled to have seen the show from both back and front of stage. Leo said the show was 'worth seeing' and 'It was very funny.' and Rebecca rated the show 600/600!

Finally, Key Stage 4 pupils went to see A Sherlock Carol at Marylebone Theatre - an atmospheric play bringing together the world of Sherlock Holmes and Dicken's A Christmas Carol in an entertaining mash up. The trip supported pupils' study of Sherlock Holmes for pupils' English curriculum.
