Celebrating the SMBS Class of 2025
The Class of 2025 graduated from SMBS with a wonderful Celebration Assembly shared by staff, family and friends.
After returning from the half-term break, our Year 11 pupils began their final month at SMBS determined to make the most of every moment. With a handful of exams still to complete, they showed great focus and resilience in these final academic challenges.
Once exams were behind them, pupils took part in a week of work experience—an exciting and valuable opportunity to explore life beyond school. Our Year 11s embraced the challenge, with placements at The Wallace Collection, The London Clinic, a local library, a primary school, and Conway. They gained insight into different workplaces, met new colleagues, took on real-world tasks, and discovered more about potential career paths. It was a fantastic introduction to working life, and pupils returned full of stories and pride in what they had achieved.
In their final week at school, the celebrations began. Year 11 enjoyed a thrilling trip to Thorpe Park followed by a BBQ they helped prepare and shared with staff—laughter, music and burgers made for a relaxed and memorable afternoon.
The week ended on a high with our Graduation Celebration Assembly, attended by pupils and their families. It was a joyful and emotional occasion, reflecting on the incredible journeys of the Class of 2025. Together we looked back on special memories, achievements and friendships formed along the way. Pupils were treated to a heartfelt video made by staff and moving speeches from Form Tutors, the KS4 Lead and the Head of School. The event closed with the presentation of Yearbooks and hoodies—a reminder of the lasting connection our Year 11s will always have to SMBS.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025! We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished and excited to see what your futures hold. Please keep in touch—we can't wait to hear about your next adventures.
