The 2026 Staff Pancake Race took place this week and, due to wet weather, was held indoors in the Sports Hall. Although the field of competitors was smaller than usual, the enthusiasm and determination to win were as strong as ever.

Participants had to put on an apron, grab a frying pan, and complete pancake flips while navigating cones and hurdles, before sprinting to the finish line.

Mr Gadogbe and Mrs Arca started strongly, and it looked as though Mrs Arca was set to take victory.

However, disaster struck when Mrs Arca’s apron came off and Mr Gadogbe was able to snatch victory, despite tripping over the hurdles. Mr Turner finished in a well-earned third place after taking the course at a much calmer and more measured pace.

Well done to all staff who took part for bringing plenty of fun and competitive spirit to the event!
