SMBS wins ActiveWestminster Award

The St Marylebone CE Bridge School wins ActiveWestminster Physical Education and School Sport Award.

The School was announced Winner at a special Awards presentation event on Friday 19 November hosted by Sky Sports presenter David Garrido.

The ActiveWestminster Awards is an annual event recognising the communities and individuals who make the City of Westminster a great place to get and stay active.

"We are delighted to have had our broad and inclusive provision recognised by the Awards.  It has been an extremely challenging period of time in schools due to the pandemic and sustaining and expanding our offer during and after this time has been difficult. Supporting our students to understand the importance of leading active lifestyles and providing them with a range of opportunities to engage in different activities remains one of our key priorities. We look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead in the coming year and continuing to enable our students to participate in a range of active pursuits" said Kate Miller, Head of School.

Now in its 12th year the ActiveWestminster Awards recognise and celebrate the people and organisations who help create an active city for all.
