Everyone participated and showed fantastic support for each other. We strive consistently to develop the School into an ever stronger expression of SMBS values and ethos through these shared experiences, trips and learning and sports day is an important event in the calendar as it builds on a variety of skills and offers opportunities for us to come together as a whole school community.

Everyone crosses the finish line (sometimes from some extra support with adults running with them). This develops a sense of achievement and builds on fostering resilience and that not giving up attitude. For some of our pupils, sports day has been a tricky day during primary school and can tap into those feelings of frustration, and anxiety.

We work hard on rewiring those thought patterns to show how this day can be positive and become a place where pupils can shine.

Finally, we must also mention all the staff who took place in this year's much anticipated staff race, the winner was Mr Riley with a close second place from Mr Laux.  Well done to everyone.
